5 Ways to Make Yourself Happy Everyday

Happiness is free. Where you get it from depends on you. So many times, we attribute happiness solely to money.

Well, there are several other ways you can be happy and remain happy.

In this post, I’ll share with you five ways you can make yourself happy.

1. Make money

This comes first on my list because ‘money is the answer for everything’.

Some sadness come as a result of lack. Sometimes, you feel sad because you can’t meet up certain demands or pay some bills.

Money may not be able to solve all your problems, but one thing you and I know is that money will definitely solve most of your life problems.

Happiness comes most times when you’re at ease. This is to tell you that when these problems get solved, you become simultaneously excited.

What does that translate to? Stop talking  down on the importance of money in your life.

Instead, acknowledge it roles and put in maximum effort to be financially efficient, which will in turn solve some of your problems.

2. Have a hobby

Have you ever thought why some people have money but still feel very sad all the time? It’s because they feel empty.

They engage in activities that do not bring pleasure to them.

What is that thing you have passion for? What is that one thing you enjoy doing? You must have one, find it.

You know that one or two things you love to do without anyone pushing you hard before you do.

For most sane people, they fall back on their hobbies when they are mentally or physically stressed, confused or in state of sadness.

Apart from this, hobby makes you feel a sense of competence: that there’s something you can truly do by yourself.

Is it music, fishing, games and sports, cooking, gardening, photography or traveling?

Find something that can give you mental relaxation. It’s truly a great source of happiness.

3. Be thankful and contented

Many of us feel so forgetful that we fail to visualize how important and valuable we are.

When you’re thankful, you’ll see that you’re not in the same place you were a year ago.

Of course, one should drastically progress in life, but your progression may not be as fast as you want.

I believe you’re aware that even with your relentless effort, certain factors may still determine how far you progress.

For example, the country’s economy. Do you know that you might be better off if that your business or idea were to be executed in a better economy like you’re doing now?

Do you also know that there are many countries whose economy are worse than yours?

Being thankful makes you accept that there are things you may never be able to change because they weren’t your choice to begin with (e.g where you were born to).

What now? Know this, that even as you feel so sad about your present condition, there are millions of people who wish to be at your current level.

This reality will give you enlightenment and will restore your happiness. Now, you know that you yourself, you’re trying.

4. Meditate

Have you ever found excitement after discovering solution to a problem you’ve been struggling to resolve? What was that feeling? Happiness, right?

Meditation is a moment of quietness that allows you to focus on just one thought at a time, one problem at a time.

When meditating, you can visualize all the factors that surround a particular problem you have.

This will give you insight on possible ways that problem can be solved.

The kind of joy one experiences after finding solution to such problem cannot be explained in words.

In fact, appetite will come if you had none. You’ll feel happy and want to associate with your family you’ve secluded yourself from initially.

5. Have a bestie

There’s a saying that ‘a friend in need is a friend indeed.

Your best friend is not just a regular person you speak with on the street or at work.

He or she is one who understands your condition, keeps your secret and can easily detect that you’re unhappy by just looking at you or hearing your voice.

When you’re down, your best friend can raise you up and light up your moment.

Don’t forget, problem shared is half solved. So, consider sharing such heavy burden with your best friend and you’ll see your happiness restored.

To wrap up

Unhappiness comes because you have a problem.

Such problems can be associated with lack of money, hobby, association, ungratefulness, and loss of job or a loved one.
